Sajan Joseph

Sajan has over 26 years at various levels and in different kinds of organisations including outside India. Of this he spent almost 10 years at the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) where was managing Academic Administration, Marketing (including substantial International Marketing,) Admissions, International Immersion Programme and Student Exchange, Placements, and Student Activities (for the One Year MBA Programme – PGPX;) Managing Industry – Academia Interactions and Collaborations by organising executive training programmes and events such as Conferences, Workshops, Seminars and Consultancy Assignments (for the Center for Infrastructure Policy and Regulation;) and Strategic Planning, Execution, Business Development and Relationship Management (for Executive Education Programmes;) During his tenure at IIMA, he has interacted with senior Corporate and Government functionaries as well as with International Universities as also international organizations. Other previous academic experience includes teaching as Visiting Faculty in B-schools in and around Ahmedabad and administration and teaching in Boarding Schools and Instituions of Don Bosco at Lonavla, Kudal and Nashik.

 

His corporate sector experience of over 13 years includes working in Agro Services, Passenger Automobiles, and Insurance sectors in roles like Branch Manager, Area Manager, Product Manager, Country Manager (Nigeria,) and Executive Director across functions such as Sales and Marketing, Product Management, Sales Administration, and Sales Training.

 

He is an Associate (Life Insurance) from the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai; MBA from the B K School of Business Management, Gujarat University and a B.Sc. (Physics) from the St. Xavier’s College. Ahmedabad. He has also done two Executive Education Programmes from IIMA as well as credited some courses along with PGP and PGP-PMP students at IIMA. He also contributes to social and religious activities. He is a mentor to young graduates in various rural colleges in Gujarat helping them find jobs and support for start-ups. He is an honorary advisor to the Board of an IT company. He is a member of the Ahmedabad Traffic Consultative Committee (ATCC) and teaches in the Sunday School at his parish Church.
